Vectis Works builds shop-floor dashboards, line boards, data connections and custom software for manufacturers. Our postal address is 100 Powell Place #1170, Nashville, TN 37204.

This policy applies to this website and to the business emails our company sends.

We write to people at companies when their job touches the kind of work we do, such as operations, production or plant leadership. We use a work email address, and now and then we may phone or send a letter to the business address.

We only get in touch when we have reason to think our work could matter to that company, and we stop as soon as a person asks.

• Business contact details where we can find them: name, job title, employer, work email address, business phone number, plus the web address of any professional profile.
• Facts about the company, such as its industry, size and location.
• Public business activity: job listings, news coverage and posts made in public.
• The result of a check on whether a work address can receive mail.
• Messages exchanged with us and our notes from those conversations.
• Visits to this site. We set no cookies and run no analytics. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary technical logs, and the font service that supplies this site's typeface receives your IP address when the page loads.

We do not collect sensitive personal information.

• Material anyone can see: company websites, job boards, news reports and professional networking profiles.
• Commercial providers of business contact and company data.
• You, when you answer one of our messages, fill in a form or talk with us.

• Deciding whether our work is likely to be relevant to a company.
• Getting in touch with you in your work role.
• Checking that an address is valid before we write to it.
• Answering you and, if you ask, talking through or delivering our services.
• Keeping our do-not-contact list accurate.
• Protecting our systems and meeting legal duties.

Our emails carry no tracking of whether they have been opened.

Answer any of our emails with any wording at all, or tell the person who calls you, and we will stop. We act on that promptly and in every case within 10 business days.

We then hold your name and address on a do-not-contact list, which is how we make sure you are not contacted again, whatever source your details later turn up in.

We never sell or rent personal information, and we never pass it to other businesses for their marketing or for targeted advertising.

It goes only to:

• providers that work on our behalf, such as email and mailbox services, address verification, business data providers, hosting and storage, each allowed to use it only for the job we gave them;
• public authorities when the law requires it, or where needed to protect rights and safety;
• a buyer of or successor to our business, who must honor this policy.

We keep contact information while it remains useful and remove records that have gone out of date. Information about clients is kept as long as the work runs and as long as legal and accounting rules require. Do-not-contact entries are kept for as long as we contact businesses at all.

Access to personal information is limited to those who need it, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that yours will never be exposed.

You can ask what we hold about you and where it came from, have it corrected, or have it deleted. The one thing we keep after a deletion is your do-not-contact entry, since it is what keeps us from reaching you again.

Depending on the state you live in, the law may give you further rights: to know, correct and delete, plus a right to refuse the sale or sharing of personal information, neither of which we do. Using any of these rights will not change how we treat you.

Our site and our work are meant for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone younger than 18.

Vectis Works is based in Tennessee and contacts companies located across the US. Our service providers may process information wherever they operate.

If this policy changes, we revise the effective date shown at the top of the page.
